Superblue and Ronnie McIntosh to deliver magical live show on WACK FM
Austin "Superblue" Lyons and Ronnie McIntosh have been an intrinsic part of our musical history delivering some of the most memorable songs and longlasting lyrics.
Come Sunday, August 30, the night before Trinidad and Tobago's 58th Independence celebrations, the two icons will take fans down memory lane with their hits in what is expected to be one of the best livestreamed soca music events presented by WACK radio.
Superblue, who has won the International Soca Monarch seven times is the originator of the Jump and Wave songs that dominated soca music for years.
McIntosh won the ISM title twice in 1995 with 'On the Road', which gave us the popular “anybody from” call still used today by soca artistes and in 1997 when he tied for first place with Superblue with ‘Ent’.
Superblue penned McIntosh's first winning song and after he had to settle for second place, the men never collaborated again until this year.
Superblue wrote a song for McIntosh called 'Town in Trouble'. It was McIntosh's first release in three years.
The comraraderie of these two giants will be on display come Sunday and they are urging everyone to log onto to WACK's YouTube channel or Facebook via phones and other devices for a magical virtual soca experience.
Live Stream Sunday August 30 at 5:30pm on WACK Radio.
