Surprise: Cop held for groping off-duty WPC on bus
A suspended police officer was allegedly caught groping a female bus passenger, who was actually an off-duty woman police officer (WPC).
According to police sources, the suspended officer was detained yesterday after he allegedly groped a woman in a maxi yesterday afternoon.
Loop News was told that around 2pm yesterday, the victim was seated in a red-band maxi which was proceeding east along the Priority Bus Route (PBR).
Upon reaching the vicinity of O'Meara Road, she felt someone touching her left leg without her consent. She grabbed the man's hand and turned to see who it was.
She observed the suspect and there was a confrontation, during which she contacted the E999 services.
PC James and PC Emanuel of the Arima police station responded, and they detained the suspect.
W-Sgt James is continuing inquiries.
