Suspect in custody in connection with murders of toddler, dad

Police have confirmed that a suspect is custody in connection with the murders of two-year-old Aniah Jaggernauth and her father, 39-year-old Stephon McLeod.

The suspect has been held for questioning and is currently assisting police with its inquiries.

Sources say the man was held a day after the murders.

The child and her father were shot and killed at Achong Trace, Tunapuna on June 19.

They were both laid to rest on Friday.

On Thursday, Police Commissioner Gary Griffith announced that the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) is offering a $25,000 reward for information which will lead to the arrest of person/s responsible for the murders.
