Three individuals that were arrested due to a citizen’s alert and the quick response of officers last Wednesday, have been charged with two counts of robbery with violence.

A 17-year-old youth of Petit Valley along with 30-year-old Reaba Gilding and 32-year-old Nicholas Solomon both of Jacobin Street, Morvant, were jointly charged on September 13.

An Emergency Response Patrol (ERP) unit located the suspects’ vehicle on Morne Coco Road, Petit Valley, shortly after information was received. The suspects attempted to evade police which resulted in the two vehicles colliding. The officers and the suspects sustained minor injuries.

A quantity of stolen items including cell phones and jewellery were recovered.

The investigation was supervised by Insp Grant and conducted by members of the Four Roads Criminal Investigations Department (CID).

They were assisted by officers of the Emergency Response Patrol and Western Division Operations Centre (WDOC).
