Thieves break into house by cutting into concrete wall

Determined criminals cut a hole through a concrete wall to steal from a home in Arima.

The victim, a 36-year-old man from O’Meara Road, told police that he had secured his home on July 23 and went to spend time his father’s home in Diego Martin.

He returned to his home on Friday, only to realise upon entering that it had been ransacked.

Several items, including  a CCTV camera system and a DVR recording box, were missing.

Even the gas tank was missing, police were told.

The estimated value of items stolen was $13,500.

The victim made a report to police and officers from the Arima police station responded.
