‘Too decomposed’: Autopsy on Piarco body inconclusive
Created : 22 May 2020
There is no official determination on what caused the death of Muyembe Blake, 25, as the results of an autopsy were said to be inconclusive. Investigators were told that the body was in an extreme state of decomposition.
However, blood and tissue samples have been secured and are expected to be sent for further testing in a bid to attempt to identify the cause of death.
Blake’s body was discovered at about 5pm on Wednesday near his home along the Caroni North Bank Road, Piarco.
Initially police said they observed a wound to Blake’s throat and suspected that the victim’s throat had been slit. This is because Blake’s neighbour, Kemraj Singh, was killed in a such a manner.
Singh’s body was discovered on Monday morning in the yard of his home.
As a result, police believe the two men were killed in the same attack.
