Trinidad and Tobago's weather: Yellow Alert discontinued

Update November 22, 3pm:
A Yellow Level Adverse Weather Alert has been discontinued.
The Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service said: 'There has been gradual improvement in weather conditions. Rainfall has ceased in most areas. Cloudiness may persist but the atmosphere is becoming increasingly stable and more settled.'
The public is advised to continue monitoring the Met Office via official channels for the latest weather updates.
The public is advised to be on the alert for rough seas and showers today as a Yellow Level Adverse Weather Alert has been issued for South Trinidad.
The Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service said in an update this morning that there is the 70 per cent (high) chance of a few heavy showers and occasional thunderstorms associated with an area of low-level convergence combined with a favourable upper level environment.
These conditions are expected to mainly affect areas of Central and Southern Trinidad over the next 6 to 12 hours.
Gusty winds in excess of 50 km/hr and street or flash flooding is likely in the vicinity of heavy showers and thunderstorms. A gradual improvement is expected toward late afternoon.

Cloudy with intermittent periods of showers and light rain in varying localities. There is the 70 per cent (high) chance of a few heavier showers and thunderstorms, especially over southern areas.
A gradual improvement is expected during the afternoon. Tonight will be mostly clear with a light breeze at times.

Sunny, hazy and breezy with one or two brisk showers in a few areas. Tonight will be hazy and breezy.
Seas are moderate to rough with waves between 2.5 and three metres in open waters and near one metre in sheltered areas.
ALL MARINE INTEREST ARE ADVISED TO EXERCISE EXTREME CAUTION.
