Tru Valu offers home, office delivery with WiFetch partnership

Tru Valu Supermarket customers locally can now enjoy the convenience of having same-day delivery on grocery orders, directly to their homes and businesses.

The latest addition to the supermarket chain’s services is possible through a recent partnership with regional distribution service provider, WiFetch.

The partnership promises same-day deliveries for grocery orders submitted before 3 pm. Deliveries began on Monday.

Sophie Bannister, WiFetch Chief Operations Officer and Co-Founder said: “Connecting customers digitally to their local, preferred stores is what we do at WiFetch - and as Trinidad and Tobago works to continuously flatten the line and curb the spread of COVID-19, it is our hope that our service provision contributes to the national effort.”

Bannister explained how the system would work.

“While observing all health and safety protocols, the utilisation of e-commerce and an efficient operational system, a WiFetch personal shopper will secure items and ensure accurate deliveries within a customer’s designated time frame - same day, or for convenient scheduling, up to two weeks in advance.

All WiFetch orders default to ‘Leave at My Door Delivery’ to ensure customers receive their deliveries safely, while maintain social distancing guidelines.”

Purchases are made via www.Wifetch.com where customers enter their location details and payment preferences.

They are then contacted by a personal shopper who completes the order for them and delivers it to their home.

All processes, payments, and customer service matters will be handled by WiFetch.

Tru Valu Supermarket’s Chief Executive Officer, Sunil N Maharajh said the partnership is an extension of the grocery’s efforts to support physical distancing throughout the pandemic.

“We have enforced all protocols and our Tru Essentials pre-package bundles have been beneficial to families across the country. Our partnership with WiFetch is an additional option of convenience that also promotes health and safety.

It is a win-win collaboration and with the greatest of confidence, we invite our loyal customers to give WiFetch a try. WiFetch has been at work in other parts of the Caribbean.”

Barbados-based WiFetch was founded three months ago, in response to the need for a seamless delivery service during the COVID-19 pandemic.

WiFetch is a recognised United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Partner.

WiFetch provides a safe and supportive e-commerce solution that’s helping to connect businesses with customers, and is poised to expand to the Eastern Caribbean.
