The mother of international dancehall artiste, Moses Davis, popularly known as Beenie Man, has been hospitalised after suffering a series of strokes.

The entertainer made the revelation in a video that has been posted on social media.

The artiste, in the more than 10-minute-long video, almost broke down in tears in disclosing how the development has left him in a distraught state.

“People mi mother in the hospital and a one of the worst time,” said the entertainer in the post.

Scores of Jamaicans have since taken to social media to offer words of encouragement and support to the entertainer.

“I feel your pain and distress Beenie, as I have experienced what you are now going through. It's the worst feeling ever, that no words can describe. This has brought tears to my eyes and I sincerely empathise with you. My thoughts and prayers are with you and especially your mom, and I hope she recuperates soon,” said a social media user, Veronica Taylor Williams.

“Prayers know no distance. The Lord Jesus is still in the healing business, so keep faith and trust God. He's the captain of the ship, so he will restore your mom,” said another social media user.
