Nailah Blackman is calling on citizens to do their part to keep our beaches clean.
Like many Trinbagonians, Nailah Blackman could not wait to hit those waves once beaches re-opened on Monday.
True to her word, she was on the beach this week soaking up the sun and the salt and showing off her bikini body to her fans on Instagram.
But in order to make the beaches truly enjoyable, the Boujee singer is leading an island-wide beach clean up.
In an IG video, Blackman said she expected to see a lot of garbage on the beaches and together with her sisters and friends cleaned up Chupara Bay on the North Coast.
"I am a lover of nature and all things natural and it hurts me to see people throw bottles and plastic out of their cars and into our paradise. Let’s clean up our beaches! Our forest! Our rivers ! Make it safe for our birds and turtles and all wildlife. Let’s live in harmony, in peace with our land. Now that our borders are closed there is no one else to blame but us. STOP LITTERING! STOP POLLUTING!," she wrote.
Blackman said each month she will lead a beach clean up and urged citizens to do the same.
