Woman’s body found in La Horquetta

An autopsy has been ordered to confirm what caused the death of 50-year-old Arlene White.

White, of Edwin Roberts Crescent, Phase Five, La Horquetta, was found dead in her home on Tuesday morning.

Residents of the area told police that they had detected a foul stench in the area and notified the authorities.

Police arrived at the scene at about 10:30am and entered the home. They found White's body on a couch in the living room of her home.

At the time it was in a state of decomposition and so authorities couldn’t determine whether any foul play was involved in her death.

The officers notified their supervisors and the scene was visited by CSI officials and a district medical officer. The body was ordered moved to the Forensic Science Center in St James.
